Last week at the CCM!

Yep time flies when you are having a good time!!! My time here at the CCM has been so fantastic and I´m so grateful for all the people I´ve met, lessons I´ve learned, and for the better understanding I have of Christ and His atonement.

So this last Sunday we spoke on No Regrets, we all wrote a talk and I wrote mine specifically on loving other´s one by one and serving others one by one, that's how Christ does it so that's how we´ve got to do it too. I also wrote about obedience, if we are obedient the Lord will bless us and we will be able to be our best selves, I have a testimony of that, you can never bee too obedient.

Every Saturday is Park day, I¨ve mentioned this before, but this park day was different, this time I got to be with my awesome full time CCM companion Hna Sperry! I love her so much and she inspires me to be better every day, i really don´t deserve her, truly blessed. anyway, Saturday was SUPER rainy so logically we just went contacting on the metro for 2-3 hours, it was incredible! the first person we met had a music book in her hand, apparently she was apart of some orchestra, any way long story short we invited her to share some of her music with us, she declined and I was like, well you know what, we can sing to you instead! so that´s just what we did, luckily not by coincidence, we both had our mini hymn books in Spanish, we sang to her and everyone just looked at us, people took out their ear buds and we were able to feel the spirit really strong, it was as if angels were singing with us, the metro was loud but there were at least 30 people on each side of us who heard us and listened. through our singing we were able to talk to many people who were sincerely interested in learning more, I´m so grateful for hymns! they always bring the spirit and make me feel at peace. I´m grateful I was able to share that spirit with others on the metro with my companion and I´m grateful for the years of choir I had so I could keep on pitch haha thanks mom.

One thing I learned this week, ¨The gospel isn´t about knowing, it´s about becoming¨"

So one thing I´m also super grateful for here at the CCM is the diversity, we have people here from Spain, Italy, Russia, New Zealand and all over north and south america! People here are learning Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Russian. and with a CCM with less than 70 people that´s pretty diverse. I love talking with my new Italian, Brazilian and Russian friends! They help me feel the spirit and I have witnessed first hand the gift of tongues, it is amazing how the Lord can help us to communicate even though none of us know the same language it is wonderful! I am going to get pictures with all of them this week and send them out so you can meet them all too! My last day here is the 26th, so yay!! crazy and sad and happy!

I get to talk with my mission Pres Pack on Sunday and I am so excited! I have had such an amazing experience here with President Packer and his wife and I´m excited to meet my mission prez. I am also super excited to meet my investigators and pray for them! well I need to go eat lunch!! here´s some pictures!

Oh also read Alma 5 it will change your life. the church is verdad y I know it. Loves and besos!!

Prado, General Conference and life is good!

Hello everybody! How Ya'll doing!?
What a week! Honestly every day gets more and more blurry but still all so good, maybe it feels like when the people with Moses had mana like every day and then they were like eh mana, well it won´t get like that but kinda my brain´s been turned to mush. we actually have this fried... stuff... it looks like a pizza pocket but tastes like baby food... fried... we are all convinced it is all the mush that is left over from the past missionary´s brains  so we don´t eat it but yeah, sorry babies that you have to eat that nasty stuff.

So for P day last week we got to go to the PRADO! Whoot whoot! It was so so so so so so great! The whole time I was just wishing Amanda P. was there with me so she could tell me all about all the paintings and the history of it all, it was amazing! I will definitely have to go again!! Love. My favorite pieces were the sketches and paintings from Anton Rafael Meng! It was so choice to see the rough drafts of what would be the master pieces on the walls and ceilings of the Cathedrals. There was another awesome sculptor/carver that I absolutely adored, he made pieces that wherever you look at whatever angle, the composition is on point and marvelous, I don´t remember the name but I wrote down a few that I liked so I´ll look it up later, I loved his sculptures so much and I hope that by the time I´m done with my mish I can look back at any angle or position and just love and appreciate the composition of it.maybe it was Camillo Torreggiani? I can´t look it up so I don´t know but maybe ya'll know what I´m talking about. I bought a sketch book there which is super nice because every Pday I get so art hungry and want to draw so YAY that I get to feed my art cravings! If I draw something nice I might let ya'll see it... maybe.. probably. yeah art is so good.

I have no idea where all this ya'll is coming from but there ya'll go! haha maybe it was because of that cute sister, Sister Neill F Marriot whose talk by the way from Women's Conference was fantastic. Speaking of Woman's Conference, it was so cool to see JoDell and Mia in the Choir!!! What a tender mercy to see some familiar faces!!!
Another familiar face I got to see is JUSTUS!!! YAY! Bro you are a killin villian in the best way possible, please join Motab so I can see your face more haha I LOVE YOU! I´m sure you alone sounded just as great as the rest of the BYUI choir! blessings on blessings on blessings!

This week I have been trying to read more in the BOM but in Spanish (LDM) It´s been super helpfull and I think it´s the coolest thing ever that I will get to share the gospel to others in their native language! God understands all! He knows every language and person, the church is so true, I can learn Spanish! well Times up folks! Loves and Hugs to all of you! You and I can do hard things!! God is so good!!! keep praying and Keep loving!!
Besos

Week Three!

Hello there friends! This has been an eventful crazy awesome fun and stressful week! first off we go to tour a little bit of Spain last p day which was so fun!! I love Spain!! I have some cute pictures i´ll put on the end! So I kinda talked a little bit last time that we have this thing where we get to go contacting at the park every Saturday, This week my Park Comp was Sister >McCord, she is serving her mission in Russia I think Moscow and she and the other Russo's were here learning Russian haha it´s weird but true! anyway, I´ve looked up to her since day one so going to the park with her was a huge tender mercy for me. before we left we made a goal and prayed for help, our goal was to talk to 35 people, get 33 referrals, place 5 BOMs and hand out 15 pamphlets. we got on the metro and boom we´re contacting, the first lady we sat by was super friendly and i don´t know how (yes I do I´m a missionary and God blesses me) but we just started talking, she could understand my improving Spanish and I could understand about 80% of her beautiful Spanish. anyway, come to find out, she lives super close to the temple but isn´t a member and knows like nothing about the church, she accepted three pamphlets, a BOM and gave us her contact info as a referral and it only went up from there. we were able to do so much even though I´ve only been here 2 weeks and my companion could only speak English and a little Russian, we were even able to find two people who actually spoke Russian so that was super awesome for her to practice with her mission language.
last week also happened to be fast Sunday and Easter, so we started our fast before we went to the Park, I decided to fast for the people who could potentially become investigators that they would start preparing them selves to receive the gospel, and I know that had a lot to do with contacting. Over all we were able to talk to 70 people, hand out 28 pamphlets, get three referrals and place 7 BOMs! it was fantastic! This is truly The Lords work, were it not for Him i would not be able to speak this language or help people come unto him. I'm so grateful that He is permitting me to do his work!
Easter was incredible, we had three testimony meeting because this Sunday was the last Sunday that the Russo's and French were here. I love them all and I´m so grateful for the time i had to get to know them and learn from their testimonies and experience, they had been in the Provo MTC and Here for 9 weeks before they left so they were super ready to go and super obedient. They all left on Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday evening we got two more Spain Missionaries!! Yay!
My zoné leaders are Elder Delani and Elder Waters, Elder Waters is probably the funniest guy i have ever met Haha! and Elder Delaney is super spiritual and mature like. their companionship dynamic is priceless, Elder Waters is probably the perfect combination of Jim Halbert and Dwight Shrewt put together in a tall lanky missionary haha he keeps our class awake even when he isn´t haha! Elder Delaney is super good at soccer he´s been playing for like 18 years and has determination you can´t fake, he is one of the hardest workers here and I´m really glad he is in my district I learn a lot from his testimony.
My district leader is Elder Wright, he´s pretty funny too because of how he responds to Elder Waters. Elder Waters is super loving and in the color test is like full on yellow, so he´ll always tell Elder Wright how much he loves him and stuff and it just freaks Elder Wright out and he always makes sure to go the extra mile to make sure that everyone knows that they are NOT in a bromance haha! Elder Wright is the guy who has to have the cool hair and expensive ties, they used to be in a tripanionship (Delaney, Wright and Waters) but we just got a new guy Elder Mofatt who is now Elder Wrights new comp. which is good but Elder Waters and Wright still have they´re days and it is priceless. I feel like the combination of the three of them make up my Bro Brayden perfectly, he can be chill and mature when he wants to but usually he is like Elder Waters and is totally funny and ... interesting... but at the same time you, Brayden i´m talking to you, try to be super cool with your ´mandatory´customized Vans haha, needless to say they and my bro are probably the most entertaining people. any way Elder Mofatts from Cali and was in the Provo MTC before he came here, I don´t know him very well but he doesn´t really know anything about Spanish so in language study i try to help him out because boy is he lost and boy am i bored. I highly recommend taking 5 years of Spanish before you go on a Spanish speaking mission.
aside form mi compañera y yo, we have to other sister´s in my district, they have also been called as the Sister trainers, they are sister Curtis from SLC and Sis Campbell from a cute lil town in texas yeehaw! They are my favorite! Sister Curtis is so funny! She is shorter than me (hard to belive) and she and I always share the best facial expressions from across the room! haaha Sis Campbell is the sweetest she is always serving, smiling, huging, and praying! I want to be more like her, what a cutie!
Well times up but here are some pics! I will write more next week! Love you all and I hope your week is Great! also I have no idea where these pictures are taken but hey its Spain and its a beaute. and the architecture is all for Jessica! I hope you like them! I will send more via other email! loves and besos! --Hna Warner

Hola todas personas!

Heyo! Spain is amazing I can´t believe i´ve already been here for a week and a half! this is my first p day and the laptops are kind of weird so i´m just going to type with no correcting so #nospellingbien but hey whatever.
okay first things first (tthat was for you brooklyn) my companera! Her name is Hermana Sperry! she is from draper UT and is my heart and soal here at the CCM! I love her so muvch and i rely on her so much. Her testimony makes me want to be a better berson. She and I have a lot in common! she loves hiking! but she is also really good at sports, is super fashionable and she has the biggest smile and the sweetest heart #blessed she actually got sick the otherday so she slept and i went with another hermana. seriously my heart was broken, she is my family here and i missed her a lot that day haha. but yeah i honestly don´t know how i could live here without her. Oh yeah! she´s going to the Barcelona Mission so this is really the only time we will be together :( but esta bien we will still keep in touch #loves.
So a little bit about the CCM. We are located on the grounds of the Madrid Spain temple and oh what a blessing that is! today we actually get to participate in a session! I´m sso excited!!! we got to walk around the grounds on sunday and it was so beautiful and peaceful it might be my new favorite temple... well maybe Oqquir and SLC still make it to the top but whatever. haha anotherthing about this CCM is that there are people from all sorts of c¡places going to all sorts of places. right now there is a group of Missionaries preping to go serve in Russia, we call them the Ruskies, there is also a group who are going to france or french speaking missions. a lot of the french don´t know how to speak english but they are such a delight to be around and man can those French elders play sports. Like seriously every sport we´ve played theyve shown everyone up.. that is except for Soccer #futbol Hermana Duffin and Elder Delani keep them in check in futbol.
So yeah, so far so good, I love my mission president Packer and his esposa, they are such an inpiration and i always feel the spirit when they are around. one thing that is super awesome about this ccm is that it´is pretty small. there are less than 50 missonaries here right now and this is the biggest group we´ve had in a while, everyone are friends and Not a day goes bye that we don´t see President Packer. he knows us all by name and always has something nice to say, i love him and his wife to pieces.
One thing we do everyweek is we go to the biggest park downtown. believe me it is beautiful. at the ccm we aren´t alowed to bring our cameras until our last day at the park so not until my last saturday. we also arent´alowed to use our cameras throughout the week so sorry, not very many pictures, I´ll take more when i get out in the feild. I love this CCm and i wouldn´t want to be anywhere else in the world. Oh yeah! about the park, it was so cool, we go there with goals to place LDMs and hand out cards, pamphlets and teach people about the gospel, we also try to get contacts. We are given a new compainion for the park so my compainon on saturday was Hna Burt I love her and she is actually from Federal Way #smallworld so coolio, she is super talented in music and plays the piano like an angel. anyway, the first day was rough and humbling, i learned a lot about the importants of being bold and really having a testimony about the fundamentals and doctrine of this gospel oh it is so TRUE! but yeah, we didn´t place any pamphlets but on the way back to the >CCM we made a goal to place a LDM on the Metro and we did!! It was such an awesome experience, God answers our prayers if we are willing to act on what he gives us.
I love this Gospel so much and there isn´t any other thing that i would rather be doing. the hours are long and hard but the days are short and sweet. I´m so grateful for my call and i know that Spain is the place for me there is no doubt I´ll be coming back. One thing we watched this week and focused on this week was Elder bednars <Christmas <devo on turning outward it was the best talk i have ever heard. The only way i can be the best missionary or the best person i can be is if i think of other, and never turn in to think of myself.
Testimony- Revelation konwing something to be true
conversion- consistantly being true to waht you know
may we all strive for true conversion and continue to look outwards to others instead of inward. that is how we can be as happy as the Savior is, and I´m 100% convinced He is the happiest person in the history of the world. Love you all! Thank you all for supporting me and helping me prepare to serve these people here I feel your prayers, and know you will be blessed for all that you do and all that you serve.
loves and besos,
Hermana Warner

So my MTC President is President Packer, he and his wife are fabulous I love the MTC already! The first thing they taught was the scripture on my mission plaque so that´s pretty cool. The flights were super long but i don´t think Íll have much Jet Lag because i got to bed good last night. but yeah! Here it is 18:25 so 6:25. There´s a total of 32 missionaries here right now so that is perfect for me! I absolutely love it! Now we get to eat!!! :D YAY! Madrid is beautiful
Oh yeah! my first companion is Hna Sperry she´s the blondie with the stripes standing next to me in the second picture, anyways, Love you!! Don´t miss me too much haha!
