The miracles only keep coming!

 Wow what a week. I'm convinced this has been the best week of the
mission so far! So much good!!! I am so grateful and still so unworthy
of all the blessings I have received here in Vigo.
        So I think I mentioned a little bit about that lady we shared the
Book of Mormon with last week... Well her name is Jocely. We invited
her to a YSA activity on Saturday and SHE CAME! She was so excited and
loved her time there! She got to make friends with some of the ward
members who invited her to church!!! Oh can I just say, that it is so
much more sincere and powerful when a member invites someone to church
or to an activity as a friend instead of the missionaries doing it. I
mean we can but I think she was so much more happy to go because she
had friends to invite her. Miracle. And yeah! She CAME!!!! She is such
a light and is so happy to meet with us, she even told us that, "It's
as though it was all supposed to happen that way." But in Spanish of
course. Just by saying hi to her in the park and sharing what we
believe, we changed her summer and in the long run she will change her
life for the better. So. Much. Good.
        Well that day that we had the YSA activity we didn't have a lot of
time to contact, but we went out with a willing and happy heart
praying to find someone prepared, we walked a different way to the
church and that's where we met Carlos! He was so eager to hear more
and we actually ended up making an appointment right then and there in
the street to meet with him again and his family. Miracle. We will
meet him and teach him the lesson of the restoration on Thursday! So
excited!
        We've actually been able to teach a good amount this week! We also
taught a cute friend of ours, Wendy. She comes to English class and
loves talking to us about what we believe and has accepted to take the
lessons with us. Miracle. Apparently the missionaries have tried
teaching her before but she was "really not interested at all" but
when we meet with her, she engages herself in the lesson and always
has questions which is so good!! We love her so much and are truly
teaching her because we care about her and I think she can see that.
        It's so important to teach people. Not lessons. There's a new manual
of sorts that just came out from the church called "Teaching the
Saviors Way" I. LOVE. THIS. Read it. Love it. Apply it. It is such a
marvelous tool that we can use as teachers and leaders. I'm excited to
apply it more to my life and future callings when I get home.
Seriously though, check it out, it's on the ap. Free man.
        The other week we also had the opportunity to contact a man named
Erin (yes it's spelt like that) He was out walking with his daughter
in this shopping street. We usually avoid contacting there because
people are always really busy shopping and when one pesos regents us
they all do. But we were there waiting for another person and there
Erin was. We saw him and knew we needed to talk to him. He met with us
last week and we are going to meet with him again tonight! He accepted
to read the Book of Mormon and actually prayed right then and there
with us to know if what we were teaching was true without us even
asking. So blessed. So prepared. Miracle. Prayers. We will see him
tonight!
        Well if you don't already know, this church is true. It works. If you
apply what you learn in church, actually study the scriptures with a
purpose and pray sincerely you will be able to be the best you can be.
The happiest you can be. I can promise you that much. I've never met
anyone who's regretted reading the scriptures, going to church, or
praying. We don't need to live a life with regrets, just trust in God
and do what He says and the rest will work out. It's not always easy,
in fact I might say it will never be easy, but as we trust in the Lord
and do our best to follow His will, we are promised joy and blessings.
I'm a witness of these blessings. If you feel like He has forgotten
you, remember Him. He's always doing His part. Trust him.
3 Nephi 9
13 O all ye that are spared because ye were more righteous than they,
will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be
converted, that I may heal you?
14 Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have
eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and
whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who
come unto me.

Vigo = Home

I feel like this week has just been a pack full of miracle. Our Rama
is fantastic. I feel like I am finally at home here in Vigo, I know
almost all the members and I'm really good at giving besitos, my
district leader is actually really impressed because all the other
sisters avoid besoing if that's a verb. (Beso=kiss, we kiss ladies on
both cheeks to greet them here) my Spanish has also improved
dramatically. I am able to express myself and keep up with most
conversations. I can even joke around! The gift of tongues is so real.
   For my language study, I read the BOM out loud and sometimes I
review grammar principals. But I'd really say that reading the Book of
Mormon has helped me the most. The church is true.
   Speaking of the BOM we had an experience contacting the is week
that was really special. We stopped the lady and she talked about how
she was from Nicaragua and how she was Catholic. We decided to share
with her the BOM and when we told her that it was the record of the
ancient Americans and that Christ visited them too, she was literally
almost in tears. And explained how faithful the people were where
she's from. We got her contact information and will hopefully be
meeting with her this week. I love the people here!
   Contacting is good. I am really familiar with the area now, well a
lot of it, the area is huge and a half. And like I said last time
people are starting to notice us. We've received more referrals the
last two weeks than the whole last transfer all together. Blessings on
blessings on blessings!
   One other cool experience. Last week we felt prompted to pass by a
less active young lady, we'll call her J. When we knocked on her door
no one was there. We turned to go down the elevator only to find J in
the elevator bringing groceries home. We had a lesson with her active
mom and her and invited J to church. She didn't seem too interested
but kinda mumbled, "yeah" and SHE CAME! But that's not all, the ward
was so welcoming to her! The girls her age embraced her, inviting her
to activities and to be their friend. (This was last week) J came
again this week and she was just so happy to be there. God truly does
love his children and he knows what's best for them. If there's
someone new in the ward or someone who doesn't usually come just love
them. J's summer was completely changed and all it took was an
invitation and the welcoming arms of the Rama members. Invite people
to activities or to church, I don't know anyone who doesn't like
having friends or feeling loved. Serve each other!

I know I don't really have to tell you all this, you are all already fantastic.

Spanish Apple Pie

Hello all!
Well i guess it's the first week of summer for all of you out there!
Congrats! Go on a butt load of hikes and go swim in a lake or the
ocean or you know what, just swim for me. Oh and while you're at it,
eat yourself a classic PB&J with chocolate milk or a Capri sun. Yeah,
that sounds good.

This week was full of goodness! First off hiking in the islands! I
already talked a bit about it last week but if you ever make your way
up here in Vigo, you need to go to the Islands. They're wonderful. One
thing that's really cool about Europe is that there are a good amount
of castles, at least up north here, or if not castles really awesome
old magical buildings, it's a lot different from the states.

Speaking of the States we had a Cultural night on Friday and it was
really great! My comp and I made her mom's home made apple pie and the
elders made hamburgers, I stole the Apple Pie recipe so that when the 
4th of July comes around I can celebrate it better and because it just
tasted so good! Here's a pic and you can kinda see the pie. Yum. America.

I'm on a boat

¡Hola! So this week in a nutshell was well hmm, like when your car
breaks down. At first your like, "dang it Jim, my car broke down" then
you get out try to fix it, fail, go to call a tow and your phones
dead. Luckily there's a rest stop up the road you can't see it but know
it's there. Put the car in neutral and start pushing.

ThIs week my comp and I really focused on contacting and finding new
people to teach. Our president gave us a goal to make 25 contacts a
day, which you think would be easy, and sometimes it is, but not gonna
lie metaphorically pushing my car or talking to a ton of stubborn
people, is hard. But I've done it 3days straight now and I think I'm
getting stronger from it. I'm confident that as my companion and I
work hard and do all that is in our power to do the Lord will bless us
and we will see miracles.

This week we are going to have a cultural night! Everyone here is from
all over the place so this will be a good opportunity to unify the
ward and invite others to the church, I'm excited. :)

Right now I'm on a boat on the way to the Islas Cies there are a good
amount of hikes there and I guess it's got one of the best beaches in
the world. It's pretty cloudy and I'm sure it's going to rain but
whatever I'm still excited, expect some good pictures next week!

Jk I didn't send this earlier so I'll tell you all about good ole Pday!
I LOVE HIKING! And today we got to go! It was super rainy at first but
the sun sure did come out and I am for sure sun burned. It was
awesome. Here are some pics if you would like more personally email
